2019 Balloon & Cinco de Mayo Festival

32nd Annual “Rise Over Roswell Balloon Rally”/ 2019 Cinco de Mayo Festival
The Roswell Chamber of Commerce and Board of Directors along with the Roswell Hispano Chamber of Commerce and their Board of Directors are proud to announce that we are joining forces again to provide a fun, family-friendly weekend full of hot air balloons, live music, inflatables for the kids, yummy food and entertainment that captures the essence of our Hispanic culture here in Southeast New Mexico.
We want all of Roswell and surrounding areas to come out and join both the Roswell Chamber of Commerce and the Roswell Hispano Chamber at the Russ Dekay Soccer Complex on Friday, May 3 – Sunday, May 5. This is a wonderful opportunity to see these magnificent balloons up close and personal, meet the pilots and their crews and, maybe just maybe, take a ride in one. This is also a wonderful time to celebrate the Hispanic heritage here in Southeast New Mexico. The Roswell Hispano Chamber has a wonderful lineup of entertainment from live music to the beautiful Folklorico dancers in celebration of this year’s Cinco de Mayo festival.
The event will start on Friday, May 3rd with balloons launching at the RISD elementary schools, followed by a balloon glow Friday night (weather permitting) and live Country music entertainment until 10 p.m.
Be sure to not stay out too late so you can come back out Saturday morning and enjoy the Sunrise Mass Ascensions and then stay for daytime activities that will take place throughout the entire day. Saturday evening will be a variety of Tejano music until 10 p.m.
Sunday morning will be the final day to see the Sunrise Mass Ascension. This is quite the sight for any and all artists, photographers and balloon enthusiasts. For more information call 575-623-5695.
