Join us at our virtual Bataan Death March and hike in honor of the soldiers who fought in one of the most significant events of World War II. The 200th and 515th Coast Artilleries, stationed in the Philippines were made up of many New Mexico National Guardsmen.
This virtual event is an opportunity for us to pay tribute to the courage and sacrifice of the soldiers who endured the grueling march through the Philippine jungle. By participating, we can also preserve the memory of the soldiers and raises awareness of their sacrifice. The walk will be held March 25, 2023 beginning at 8 a.m. Water stations will be provided.
This is not organized by any group/business, but we ask you to register so we can contact you if plans change:
https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/YX9VDJ8 . Instructions are on that page as well as a map. We will be walking the proposed trail twice to get the 14.2 miles in. You can hike solo or with a team. We even allow bike riders
Let’s do this together and show our support for the soldiers who fought in the Battle of Bataan.
