International UFO Museum And Research Center
The Museum contains exhibits and information about the Roswell Incident, UFO sightings in general, and a research library which houses reference materials about this subject and other related phenomena. The Roswell Museum and Arts Center is a unique and diverse stop for all visitors. The 50,000 square foot facility is filled with pieces from Roswell, New Mexico, and accross the country, creating a unique and interesting perspective. Bitter Lake Wildlife Refuge
This beautiful refuge protects and provides habitat for some of New Mexico’s most rare and unusual creatures, such as dragonflies! More than 100 species of dragonflies and damselflies have been documented on Bitter Lake National Wildlife Refuge. With plenty of hiking trails and rest areas, Bitter Lakes is a great sight to see, especially at sunset! Click here for more information.
Bottomless Lakes State Park
Located just 14 miles southeast of Roswell, Bottomless Lakes State Park is your place for bottomless fun! Enjoy non-motorized boating in your kayak or canoe, camp, fish, picnic, swim, hike, go birding or even scuba dive! The unique lakes at this park are sinkholes, ranging from 17 to 90 feet deep. If you’re looking to take a break from the extraterrestrial, the Spring River Zoo can help you stay grounded to our planet. The zoo contains native animals and plants providing a unique learning oportunity about the wildlife found locally and around the state. Spaceport Roswell is an amazing attraction that allows guest the opportunity to journey around the world, through space, and even through time. Their first “mission” available for launch is the world famous UFO crash of 1947. Guests can experience a one of a kind reneactment of that famous day long ago.
